Pudgy, also known as Pudgy Woke, rose to fame on TikTok under the care of Malachy James. The dog had a massive online following with over 12 million followers across TikTok and Instagram. Pudgy captured hearts with his playful behavior and unique vocalizations. Sadly, Pudgy, known as the “Owa Owa dog,” met a tragic end in June 2022.

Pudgy’s Background
Pudgy was rescued from the streets by Malachy James’ brother, having escaped from a troubling past. At the time of his passing, Pudgy was approximately 11 or 12 years old and had spent around seven years with Malachy’s family.
Utilizing his platform as a TikTok influencer, Malachy showcased Pudgy’s charm, attracting a sizable following that eagerly engaged with the dog’s daily life and antics.
Named after Betty Boop’s puppy companion from the 1934 cartoons, Pudgy, Malachy’s beloved pet, became a recognizable figure in the online community.

Tragic Loss of Pudgy
In an unforeseen encounter, Pudgy was attacked by another dog during a meeting arranged by Malachy in June. Subsequently, Pudgy suffered severe injuries, leading to a heartbreaking decision to euthanize him to prevent further suffering.
Despite the efforts to save Pudgy through emergency vet care, the outcome was uncertain, prompting the family’s difficult choice.
